DEATH IN PLAINs
A visual and musical adventure under multiple names, Death In Plains being its primary incarnation, a one-man electronic set and performance act.
Conceived more as an Internet meme rather than a conventional musical project, DIP(s) is some- thing which has to do with popular music in the digital domain, and the generation grown between the first PlayStation and the incoming of broadband connection.
Songs out of themselves linked back and forth with the visual and contextual imaginary they have been generated from, which on the contrary depends on them, the joint experience of something happening, not while but in place of the live performance.
Disperding music and post-videoclips over the Interner and releasing ultra limited edition record on vinyl for cult London label DiscError (Doulbe A-side Over and Above/Clippings and Mustard Polo EP, 2009, 2010).
Played for two years (2009, 2010) at seminal Offset Festival (Hainault Forest, London) and toured over Italy and Europe with SALEM, Telepathe, Toro Y Moi, Wild Nothing, The Fiery Furnaces and A Classic Education.

Bio: Più internet meme che progetto musicale, DIPs è qualcosa che ha a che fare con Enrico Boccioletti aka Spcnvdr (http://www.spcnvdr.org/), la musica pop nel dominio digitale, e la generazione cresciuta a cavallo tra l’arrivo della Playstation e l’avvento della banda larga.
Canzoni al di fuori di sé stesse che comprendono indissolubilmente l’immaginario visivo che le ha generate, e che da esse dipende, e dall’esperienza insieme di qualcosa che avviene, non durante ma al posto della performance live, rispetto a come siamo abituati a concepirla.
Un 7” e un EP per la cult label londinese DiscError, due partecipazioni al seminale Offset Festival, opening-act di Toro Y Moi, Telepathe, Hot Chip, Salem, Wild Nothing, Fiery Furnaces, partecipazioni per Keep It Yours, Discipline, WWNBB Collective e feature su Dazed&Confused, Loud&Quiet, e infine un disco di remix prestigiosi a cura di Passions, These New Puritans, Ghostape, Cosmetics, Dreamcrusher, Nursery.
Nel 2011 ha partecipato al progetto Show’n’Tell a cura di Vice e 55DSL, una tavola rotonda di nove giovani talenti italiani sullo stato della creatività nel nostro paese, ed è al lavoro sulla prossima e ultima uscita per DiscError: un album-film-mixtape che vedrà la luce entro la primavera del 2012, giusto in tempo per la fine del mondo.
